what is a bumbling buddhist?

bumbling

A bumbling buddhist:

  • understands how powerful and healing a regular mediation practice can be but is hard pressed to meditate regularly and consistently;
  • experiences brief moments of mindful awareness sandwiched between countless hours of random thoughts, many of which are neither positive nor helpful;
  • knows that a few deep breaths can change one’s experience and perception yet spends most of the time in a diminished state of shallow breathing;
  • aspires to be kind, compassionate, accepting and detached but spends too much time being grumpy, uncaring, judgmental and obsessed;
  • will continue undaunted on the path toward the light regardless of how dark life may appear or how much stumbling and lurching occurs along the way.
